New Zealand is one of the ‘youngest’ countries in the world. The ice age has carved unique and outstanding features such as the Fiords and Sounds. Massive forces pushed up the Southern Alps and volcanoes were erupting everywhere. The result of all this action is a stunning landscape to delight all all travellers to NZ.

The Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre
New Zealand’s iconic Hermitage Hotel has recently opened a $7.5 million state-of-the-art museum and theatre showcasing the history of climbing and transport in the Mount Cook region. This project includes a museum, audio-visual theatre as well as a new café, bar and retail facilities. South Pacific Motorcycle Tours promotes this Centre and you'll probably be making a visit if you're on one of our guided or self guided tours.
