FULLY GUIDED MOTORCYCLE TOURS

Our fully guided New Zealand motorcycle tours cater for all motorcyclists, from advanced riders to the novice and born-again bikers.  All you need is a motorcycle licence that's valid in your own country for the motorbike you'd like to ride and the experience to handle your chosen bike with confidence. South Pacific Fully Guided Motorcycle Tours of New Zealand are a great way to have fun, meet new friends, and enjoy great riding, knowing that you're safe and being well cared for in a country that you may not be familiar with.

We have four durations for everyone to choose from, 5, 11, 17 and 22 days. If you cannot join us on any of our fully guided tour dates we can organise a South Pacific Bespoke Private Motorcycle Tour of New Zealand for you.  See our Private Tours Page and email us with your specific requirements.

Step 1. Choose a Classic or Supreme tour

The South Pacific Kiwi Welcome

Whether you're on a kiwi classic tour or a Supreme tour your Day One is filled with activities that simply make our New Zealand motorcycle tours unique (excludes our 5 day tour). We'll chauffeur you from your chosen accommodation to our base.    Familiarise yourself with your motorcycle, go for a quick spin round the country lanes, and meet your guides over a coffee.  Prepare for the ride at your own pace in top-class, comfortable surroundings.  We have full Reception facilities with briefing room, changing and shower room, Guest Lounge with free Broadband, wireless internet connection, and a separate office for signing your Rental Agreement.  Plenty of time for you to prepare, or for your passenger to chat to other group members in the sunshine on the deck overlooking the gardens and mountains.   No pressure, no worries!   After a safety briefing and a few formalities the tour group departs for a special ride and a fantastic South Pacific Kiwi-Welcome Evening Dinner - Wow!

Tour Days

Our NZ motorcycle tour groups are supported by our own Kiwi  tour guides - a motorcyclist leader and a chase vehicle driver.   In almost every case these two guides will be 'the Dynamic Duo' Mike Lester, Senior Tour Guide and Company Owner,  and  riding 'ace' Simon Jamieson, Mike's son-in-law, and  you are GUARANTEED an absolutely  brilliant time whenever these two get together.   Tours are also supported by Carole, Mike's wife,  especially when ladies are present on the tour or not riding.  Everyone that works here is a professional at what they do, all First Aid trained, Passenger Endorsed and have great personalities and a great sense of humour.   Ride at your own pace or follow the tour guide motorcyclist, the choice is yours - clear route and meeting point instructions are  given at the Skipper's Brief each morning.   There's one thing for sure, you WILL have a great time. 

Our comfortable air-conditioned  support vehicles carry luggage, tools, first-aid equipment etc, and if our own land rover is used it is a fun vehicle in itself, making for some great off-road adventures whilst on tour. Riding partners needing a break or non-riding passengers can also enjoy an equally fabulous  New Zealand holiday, and they're provided with a running tour commentary along the way by the friendly tour guide driver.  

After breakfast the group sets off each day for the most amazing rides, stopping frequently for the best attractions and activities, leg-stretches, morning coffee, a leisurely lunch, afternoon tea and places where you just have to take hundreds of photos.  Unlike large tours, our groups are always small enough so that we can say 'yes' to any special requests without too much hassle. We ride until mid or late afternoon so there's plenty of time and light left each day for enjoying the very best each region has to offer. We're the experts - every minute of your New Zealand motorcycle tour is designed for your utmost pleasure, and we guarantee you the best time of your life. 

Accommodation & Cuisine

Guests on our Supreme Tours stay in either superior top-quality hotels or other lodgings which are all carefully selected and vetted, while with our Kiwi Classic Tours we provide motel and motor lodge accommodation. On all our tours you will have  Multiple two-night stays at the major hot-spots which means you have plenty of time to see and do all the best attractions and activities.  Our New Zealand Motorcycle Tours are designed for you to enjoy your vacation at a leisurely pace. Rider's briefing over a leisurely breakfast , plenty of pit-stops along the way to stretch your legs,   take awesome photo's and for tea and coffee breaks.    Your guides know the best places to eat for lunch and dinner each day.  Great cafes with the tastiest  food in the world at amazingly affordable prices - many with art galleries and souvenir shops nearby.   At gourmet restaurants you can sample the freshest local cuisine , locally brewed beers and award-winning wines.  We have travelled extensively and can unreservedly boast New Zealand as offering the best wine and cuisine in the world - and you can share all of it here with us at South Pacific Motorcycle Tours!

Rest or Ride Days

Our Rest or Ride Days are a unique part of your NZ motorcycle tour, and take place at all the best  'Hot Spots' where guests stay for 2 nights or more, providing full days to explore at their leisure.  Want to carry on riding?  No worries!  Your guides will tell you the best day ride-outs (and probably want to go with you).  Want to do something really different?  No problem, we'll help arrange that special Lord of The Rings Safari, a game of golf on an award-winning scenic course, a boat-cruise to an isolated sheep-station, or a wine-tasting tour to savour our famous Sauvignon Blancs.     The guides have a wealth of information and good expert advice on what to do, where to go, where to eat etc.  Rest or Ride Days  are always welcomed by our clients and unique to NZ South Pacific Motorcycle Tours.

Fun & Laughter 

We have great fun and lots of laughter both during the tour and in the evenings to make your NZ motorbike holiday a really memorable one.    We'll tell you more when we speak with you directly.  Talking bikes, playing games, enjoying the hot-spots, and showing you the special things that other  tourists don't get to see, and of course enjoying a great meal together.   All these things and more make our New Zealand Motorcycle Tours unique.
