The RT 'Boxer' is the most successful BMW Motorrad tourer ever. The R1150 RT has consistently been a market leader, enjoying a particularly loyal customer base throughout Europe.

Its successor - the R1200 RT - is the second model of the new Boxer generation and has fast become the ultimate touring machine. It has been improved significantly in many areas. It is more powerful than its predecessor, faster, significantly lighter, has improved wind and weather protection, better fuel economy and an increased tank range.

The comfort is surpassed by none, which makes it the best choice for touring New Zealand. You can blast through the bends listening to your favourite CD and flick the cruise control on during the straight sections, the two piece gel/vinyl seats make the passengers ride also very comfortable with a minimal effect from the wind due to the great aerodynamics of the bike. All you really need to do with this bike is load it up and ride.
