The sleek high-end image now days are still slowly eroding the stodgy image of touring bikes of the past. The Goldwing is one of these high-end examples and for the past 25 years the Honda's Goldwing has been the platinum standard of touring. The transmission is a five-speed unit and Honda has made the fifth gear an overdrive. The transmission is smooth and easy to shift with no clunks or weirdness. An electronic reverse gear is included with the Wing to aid you in backing up, which is very much needed and will be appreciated when two up with luggage. The Wing is a large bike, not just a little big, but quite substantially, the weight never really disappears even when moving, the seat is low enough for most to plant two flat feet on the ground and handling at low speeds is slow. It’s definitely a great bike with plenty of power and storage, for touring in comfort it’s perfect, however if you’re slightly short in the leg it may be worth considering another bike.

- *One and two day hires are limited to 300kms per day, a rate of 45c per km is charged for any excess kms
- Rental days are based on a twenty-four (24) hour period. A two hour grace period is allowed for and a penalty fee is charged for late returns (see t&cs)
- Price includes collection from any Christchurch area location, hire of bike, full insurance, breakdown service, government sales tax, maps, tips & advice, free storage facility, delivery back to any Christchurch location, plus our 24-7 full support service

- 20% deposit is required upon booking, balance is due 30 days before the hire commences
